WAY OF THE ROSES - Coast to Coast Cycle route from Morecambe to Bridlington

The Way of the Roses is a favourite UK cycle trip with many people coming from abroad to cycle the whole width of our "little island".  It is a route from the west coast starting at Morecambe to the east coast ending at Bridlington.

We can organise it at various paces. All the prices include luggage transfesr and very good quality bed and breakfast accommodation.

3 days using your own bikes - £425 per person (2 sharing)

On this one you ride your own bikes that you are familiar with. We arrange excellent upmarket accommodation where you can rest, recover and indulge. Your luggage will be waiting for you and there'll be good food available.

Day 1 Get yourselves and your bikes to Morecambe for the start and cover about 50 miles on this first day. You will soon be into the lovely Yorkshire Dales. Plenty of hills here!

Day 2 After a hearty cooked breakfast, press on across the Dales and then down into the Vale of York. As it's the middle day and more of the route is on flat terrain, you will cover about 75 miles.

Day 3 Maybe a lie in? Maybe an early start for early finish? It's up to you! About 45 miles to the coast on a wonderful ride through Millington Dale and across the Yorkshire Wolds. Collect your bags and it's homeward bound.

6 days - £875 per person

This one comes with a guide and support vehicle if at least 6 people book together e.g. 6 friends, 3 couples, 2 families, a family of 6 or more etc.

Day 1 Arrive in Morecambe to stay the night.

Day 2 Set off for a good ride of about 30 miles.

Day 3 A challenging ride over the backbone of England covering about 30 miles.

Day 4 More miles (about 45) but a lot on the flat in the Vale of York. Enjoy an evening in York.

Day 5 A ride into the Yorkshire Wolds - 35 miles.

Day 6 About 25 miles to arrive in Bridlington to dip your wheels before departure to your next destination.

4 days including gourmet meals - £995 per person (about 180 miles)

This is a wonderful 'coast to coast' ride with a difference - 4 evening meals at excellent restaurants are included for you to look forward to as you pedal along!

Day 1 Arrive in Morecambe to stay at a luxury hotel.

Day 2 A gentle start and then your first challenge is to get into the Yorkshire Dales.

Day 3 Up hill and down dale today across the National Park with fine views all around.

Day 4 More miles today but much of the ride is across the flat Vale of York with a climb towards the end of the day.

Day 5 The final day brings you to the east coast where we collect the bikes and you can board a train home.

Feedback on Way of the Roses

"What a wonderful route!  I loved the variety.  Ocean shorelines, mountains, dales with sheep, narrow winding roads with stone walls on each side..."   Eleanor - Canada
